New GJKKO regulation enters into force, SafeJournalist: Suspend it! Review with

The SafeJournalist Network has reacted again regarding the new GJKKO Regulation, which entered into force today despite opposition from international journalist organizations.

In a response, SafeJournalist calls on the Special Court to suspend the regulation in question, which restricts and censors the media.

SafeJournalist is seeking a review by consulting with journalists, experts, and media organizers.

"The SafeJournalists Network calls on the Special Court to suspend the implementation of the contested media-related provisions and to undertake a focused review through meaningful consultation with journalists, media organizations, legal experts, and civil society ," SafeJournalists wrote in its response.
