Without an ambulance for 3 months, the citizens of Vau i Dejës rise up in

David Deda and Sokol Preka lost their lives in Vau e Dejës two days ago after coming into contact with electricity. An ambulance had to be sent from Shkodra to transport them to the hospital.

In protest of their loss, the citizens of Vau i Dejës have today demanded the return of emergency services to the area.

One of the citizens present at the protest stated that for 3 months, there has been no ambulance in Vau e Dejës, making the situation even more critical.

He requested that the state take measures to establish an emergency health center.

"This protest is in memory of the loss of two young men from Vau Dejës, from the great disaster that happened, from the lack of the state, the lack of ambulances, nurses, doctors and all. We are 50 thousand inhabitants, 50 thousand inhabitants, and we do not have an ambulance. We do not have an emergency room, we do not have a doctor's service, we do not have any doctors. Doctors only work in the mornings and there are no doctors at all. This is the lack of the state, the lack of institutions, of the Shkodra directorate and all of ours.

"There should be 24-hour doctor service. There should be other additional services, ambulance, emergency, it is known what services it has, that it has its own doctors. We demand from the state, from the institutions, from everyone, we demand that this become an emergency health center ," he declared.
