Air Albania also scored a goal for Eurocontrol/ The European organization files

Among the many financial victims of Albania's flag carrier, Air Albania, is apparently Eurocontrol. The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation has opened a lawsuit in Albania to collect unpaid debts that Air Albania owes it.

It is not known how much Air Albania owes Eurocontrol. But the lawsuit with the object of "fulfillment of obligation" will be judged by Judge Flamur Kapllani and has been officially announced by the Court of First Instance in Tirana. Its first hearing is scheduled for October 20.

Launched with much fanfare by the prime minister, it was founded in May 2018 with three shareholders: Turkish Airlines with 49 percent, Sinan Idrizi's MDN Investment with 41 percent, and the Albanian government with 10 percent.

But very quickly, the so-called pride of the Albanian sky turned into a financial pit, accumulating a mountain of debts and losses. Its debtors are now trying through legal processes to recover what they can from the obligations that Air Albania has towards them.

But now, all that remains at Air Albania is Sinan Idrizi, traces of Edi Rama's personal charter, Ismail, and a mountain of financial abuses, which no one is investigating./ Kapitali
