Berisha receives US visa, Politiko reveals the agenda of the visit to the US

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is expected to travel to the United States of America, after receiving a US visa, on a visit that will bring him back to the US after several years.

Politiko.al sources indicate that Berisha will hold a meeting with Albanians in New Jersey, while a few days later he is expected to be in Dallas, Texas, where he will participate in the activities of the American Republican Party.

According to Politiko.al sources , before participating in Republican Party activities in Texas, Berisha will meet with the Albanian community in New Jersey.

The meeting is expected to take place on Sunday and will be one of the DP leader's first stops in the US, where he is expected to address Albanians in the diaspora and speak about political developments in Albania.

Next, Berisha's agenda shifts to Texas, where the first Republican Party Convention for the midterm elections will take place on September 9 and 10. The convention is scheduled to be held in Dallas and will focus on mobilizing Republicans for the 2026 elections.

Berisha was previously confirmed as part of the IDU delegation that will participate in this event. According to the documents made public, the invitation was sent to him as part of the international delegation, while his participation was considered important for the Democratic Party of Albania.

Berisha himself confirmed today at a press conference that the procedures for the trip are in progress and that the documents are at the American Embassy in Tirana.

"The documents are at the American embassy and I have not booked any meetings," Berisha declared, explaining that the main destination of the visit will be Texas.

He said he will participate in the US Republican Party conference for the midterm elections, as part of a delegation from the International Democratic Union (IDU), where the US Republican Party is one of the main forces.

"I'm going, as you know, to Texas for the conference of the American Republican Party for the midterm elections. I'm in a delegation of the International Democratic Union, a large delegation, which is invited by the Republican Party, the main party in the IDU, to participate in this conference. In addition, I have an invitation from a Republican institute ," he said.
