Fewer buses from tomorrow! Public transport operators warn of fleet reduction

Public transport operators have announced a reduction in the bus fleet by 20-30%, starting from September 1.

In a letter addressed to the Municipality of Tirana, the Prime Minister and the relevant ministries, the operators state that the warning comes as a result of fuel costs and the failure to realize the requested compensation.

The association points out the lack of financial support promised by the government, which, according to them, forces them to decide to continue working with reduced capacity.

Fleet reduction means fewer buses, increased intervals between lines, and more difficulties for citizens.

Operators are requesting urgent intervention from institutions to implement compensation and continue support for fuel costs.
