A 27-year-old man has died at the Trauma Hospital after allegedly being electrocuted while repairing a water tank on top of an apartment in Kamëz.

The serious incident occurred on "Adriatic" street, in neighborhood no. 5, where the young man, RT, was at his uncle's apartment.

According to preliminary information, the 27-year-old was working on the apartment to fix the water tank, when he allegedly touched the wires of a high-voltage electrical line.

Contact with electricity caused serious injuries. The young man was urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he arrived in critical condition.

Despite the intervention of doctors and efforts to save his life, the 27-year-old was unable to survive and died in hospital.

Police have launched investigations to determine the full circumstances of the event and to clarify the dynamics of the incident.
