A speedboat with 8 people on board has risked sinking in the waters near Spille, after suffering an engine failure and filling with water. The Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit reacted immediately after receiving a report of the vessel requesting assistance.

The incident occurred about 1 mile from the coast, in the direction of Forsiluk, where police services, while monitoring the maritime space, found the boat in difficulty.

The driver and 7 of his family members were on board. Due to a defect in the engine, the boat was filling with water and was in danger of sinking.

Police services intervened immediately, providing the necessary assistance to 8 people and towing the boat to shore. The vessel was pulled ashore in the Karpen area.

All people on board were found to be in good health.
