Three killed at a shooting range in Montenegro, 30-year-old Russian wanted

A serious criminal incident has shaken Montenegro this afternoon.

Three people have been shot dead at a shooting range near Danilovgrad, while police have launched an operation to capture a 30-year-old Russian man suspected of committing the crime.

The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. at the “Češka zbrojevka” shooting range. According to Montenegrin authorities, the victims are Petra Globarević, 24, from Podgorica, Momir Radonjić, 67, from Danilovgrad, and Nemanja Kapor, 20, from Podgorica.

The three people reportedly worked at the shooting range where the incident occurred.

Shortly after the shooting, police identified the suspect as Mikhail Shabunin, 30, a Russian citizen. Authorities suspect he fled the scene in a black Seat Cordoba with the license plate PG AC 472.

According to Montenegrin media, the vehicle is owned by the father of one of the victims.

Police have launched searches in several areas to locate the suspect, while the vehicle was later found in the Rogamëve area, near the "Stefan" restaurant.

Despite finding the car, Šabunjin has still not been located.

Montenegrin authorities have warned that the suspect may be armed and have asked citizens to be cautious while the police operation continues.

The Police Directorate has called on citizens not to approach the suspect if they notice him and to immediately notify the authorities.

"We invite citizens, if they have information about the suspect or notice him, to report the information about his location and movements to the Police Directorate, at the toll-free number 122, through the 'Policija CG' application (Virtual Police Station) or in any other way. Information can also be forwarded to the police anonymously," the police statement said.

Investigations continue to uncover the circumstances and motive of the triple murder, while police are working to locate and arrest the 30-year-old Russian.
