8 thefts committed during the summer solved, 49-year-old arrested

Durrës Police have solved 8 cases of thefts committed during the months of July and August 2026. As part of the "Midsummer" operation, two people have been identified, suspected of being accomplices in committing the thefts.

 One of them has been arrested, while the police continue their work to capture the other suspect. Citizen G. Th., 49 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested after being caught red-handed after stealing a mobile phone.

Meanwhile, work continues to locate and arrest the 32-year-old MB citizen, resident of Durrës, suspected of being an accomplice in these cases.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, during the months of July and August, committed 8 different thefts (in 6 cases, theft of wallets, cell phones and personal items, while in 2 cases, theft of electricity meters).

2 citizens are identified, suspected of being accomplices in these thefts.

One of them is arrested, work is underway to capture the other.

As a result of intensive investigative actions carried out by specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Durrës Police Commissariat, within the framework of the operation codenamed "Midsummer", to uncover thefts, it became possible to uncover 8 cases of theft, committed during July and August 2026, and the 2 suspected perpetrators were identified.

One of them, citizen G. Th., 49 years old, resident of Durrës, was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto after stealing a cell phone.

Meanwhile, work continues to capture the accomplice, a 32-year-old British citizen, residing in Durrës.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, during the months of July and August, committed 8 different thefts (in 6 cases, theft of wallets, cell phones and personal items, while in 2 cases, theft of electricity meters).

Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that these citizens may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action.
