Shehu: Israel does not endanger Albania, the threat comes from crime and

Democratic Party MP Tritan Shehu has reacted through a post on social media regarding the debates on the dangers threatening Albania, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from the country's real problems.

Shehu writes that the threat to Albania does not come from Israel or the Jewish people, but from organized crime, trafficking and corruption. According to him, these phenomena have penetrated institutions and are harming democracy, welfare and the European integration process.

In his reaction, the democratic MP also accuses the government of using "surreal enemies" to divert public opinion's attention, while linking the situation in the country to what he calls "drug cartels" and a "corrupt regime."

Full reaction:

Israel and the Jews do not endanger Albania - Albania is destroyed by the "mafia and mafiosi", to whom the regime has handed over the country.
This is our reality, which cannot be masked by creating surreal "enemies"!
Organized crime, trafficking and corruption are the real dangers for Albania.
They are the "rodents" of democracy, welfare and European integration of Albanians.
I emphasize this because from time to time I read wrong and malicious "conclusions", which aim to mask reality, to divert attention from the real threats to us.
Some of them are filled with deliberate doses of anti-Semitism!
Israel is a democratic country, friend, partner, supporter of Albania and Kosovo.
The Jewish people are a people with great values, on whom monstrous crimes have been committed, but who have been able to survive, something for which we Albanians are also proud of our modest contribution.
A story that in many aspects resembles ours, bringing us closer!
The enemy of Albania and Albanians is the installed narco-state, it is crime, trafficking, that controls the institutions, the country's assets, deforms democracy.
The "Mafia" and the regime, through tricks, try to divert attention and direct the arrows of public reaction towards false objectives.
They do this to hide the truth, the cause of the country's collapse, to preserve power.
Others become part of these "intrigues" for their political interests, incompatible with ours.
But this does not last long, because the picture is clear, easily readable.
At its core lies the corrupt regime of Tirana, connected and dominated by organized crime, Albanian or international.
This one without distinctive and specific names of states or peoples...
Crime is the most "internationalist" phenomenon that exists, along with communism.
—PS By the word "mafia" I mean organized crime and not the classic mafia.
