Rama gathers ministers and SP leaders, protesters 'go' to headquarters

The protest moves today in front of the SP headquarters, while Prime Minister Edi Rama gathers ministers and political leaders.

This is the scheme that is expected to take place today in Tirana, where at 5:30 PM activists have called a rally in front of the pink headquarters, while at the same time Edi Rama has scheduled a government meeting with leaders of the Socialist Party.

The call for protest came after the 89th rally held yesterday evening. Protesters marched from Skanderbeg Square to the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the removal of the government and the resignation of Edi Rama.

After the protest ended, one of the activists called on citizens to move in front of the SP headquarters today.

"Tomorrow at 5:30 PM, the PS will gather at headquarters for a meeting. Let's go there with eggs and protest and show them that they don't represent us ," she said.

On the other hand, Edi Rama will gather ministers and political leaders of the regions to discuss the continuation of the socialists' political action in the territory.

The meeting comes after two days of meetings in Pogradec, where the SP also presented the "Pasqyrë Albania" platform, designed to collect and follow up on citizens' complaints.

According to the socialists' plan, the issues raised should receive a response within two weeks. The platform foresees mechanisms for collecting complaints and tracking them in ministries, municipalities and other institutions.

In the background is also the preparation of socialist structures for the 2027 local elections, while the SP Assembly meeting is expected in early September.
