After the debate in Kuç, Rama attacks the SP mayor again: The sea has

Just a few days after the mayor of Selenica, Nertil Bellaj, left the meeting with the mayors of the Vlora district in Kuç, amid debates about territorial reform, Edi Rama has not spared his words towards him.

At the "Vajza Fest" event in Selenica, the prime minister chose to ironize the statements of Bellaj, who has openly come out against the unification of Selenica with Vlora, after saying that the municipality has worked to take the area to another level of mountain and river tourism.

He added that over the last four years the municipality has worked on its development and that now "we will see how things go", leaving the decision on the fate of the institution to the prime minister.

" Prime Minister, here we also have sea water, here, salt water. Nature has given us these. Just as Labëria has a famous history, we as a municipality have been trying for four years to make our municipality famous, taking the municipality to another level of mountain and river tourism. We have worked and will continue to work and then see how things will go ," declared Bellaj.

The mayor's speech was followed by an ironic response from Prime Minister Rama, who chose to comment specifically on the statement about the presence of salt water in the mountainous area.

" I want to greet the Mayor, Nertil, and thank him for the information about the sea reaching the top of the mountain with salt water," said Rama.

The statements come in a tense climate between the prime minister and the mayor of Selenica, who publicly opposes the merger of the municipality he leads with Vlora, as part of the new territorial reform.
