For about seven hours, Socialist leader Edi Rama has held a meeting in Pogradec with the political leaders of the Socialist Party and the Socialist chairmen of parliamentary committees.

The meeting focused on the organization and political communication of the Socialist Party, while one of the main issues discussed was the "Besa" document.

Another topic discussed was territorial reform. Rama addressed the political leaders of the areas where the merger or unification of municipalities is envisaged, asking them about the reasons that, according to him, have prompted reactions against this initiative.

The Prime Minister has asked the Socialists to go out into the field and explain to citizens that the reform aims to improve services and provide them more efficiently.

On the eve of the 2027 local elections, Rama has also requested that the SP begin work on identifying candidates. His message has been that in the upcoming race, names more closely linked to local communities should be selected.

Part of Rama's message was to increase the presence of political leaders in the community. According to him, the "Besa" document should also be made known to mayors and local party structures.

The head of government will also gather ministers on Monday in what is known as a "retreat", where they are expected to take stock of the work of each department.
