Crime in Kosovo, pregnant woman shot by husband in bedroom

New details have emerged from the serious incident in Kërvasari, Malisheva, where a 25-year-old woman lost her life after being shot, while her 26-year-old husband was seriously injured.

According to media reports in Kosovo, it is suspected that Jetlira Foniqi was shot by her husband. However, the exact circumstances and motive of the incident have not yet been clarified and are being investigated by the authorities.

Police were notified Sunday evening of gunshots and, upon arriving at the apartment, found the couple injured in a bedroom. Both were transported to UCCK.

According to the UCCK, the 25-year-old woman arrived at the Emergency Center at around 00:15 on August 24 with no signs of life and gunshot wounds. She was reportedly pregnant.

Her husband, 26 years old, continues to receive medical treatment and his condition is reported to be very serious.

At the scene, police seized a firearm, which is suspected to have been used in the incident.
