Pregnant woman dies after shooting, couple found injured in bedroom

A married couple was found shot in their apartment in the village of Kërvasari, Malisheva.

The case was reported to the police last night at around 11:20 p.m. Officers who arrived at the apartment found the man and woman injured in the bedroom.

After first aid, both were taken to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. But only a few hours later, at around 01:10, the UCCK notified the police that the woman had passed away.

The most tragic detail of the incident is that the victim was in the last month of pregnancy, in the 34th week.

During the investigation of the crime scene, police also seized a firearm, which is suspected to have been used in the crime.

Her husband remains hospitalized at UCCK, while investigators are trying to determine what happened inside the apartment, as well as the possible motive for the incident.

So far, authorities have not given an official version of the dynamics of the shooting.
