Weapons found and confiscated by the Kosovo Police in the villages surrounding Kalludra in Zubin Potok may also shed light on crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.

Police Director Gazmend Hoxha has confirmed that institutions have suspicions that some of this weaponry may have been used in the case of the mass murder known as the "Group of Intellectuals".

Hoxha spoke about this possibility after questions from reporters during a press conference where the seized arsenal was presented. He explained that the connection to the massacre has not yet been proven and that the final answer will be given only after the examination of the weapons.

According to him, all seized weapons are considered illegal and will be subject to individual analysis. If necessary, examinations can also be carried out in laboratories outside Kosovo.

"They will be examined one by one until we come to a concrete result," declared the director of the Kosovo Police.

The issue takes on particular importance as the weaponry was discovered in an area where three mass grave locations have been identified in recent weeks, where the remains of 23 people were found.

The acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has ordered that the weapons be immediately sent to the Forensic Agency for examination.

He said that the scientific results will be the basis for further steps in the investigation and, if the connection to war crimes is proven, for the prosecution of those responsible.
