Agas's arrest, Këlliçi: Balluk's message to Edi Rama, gang war within the SP

Agas's arrest, Këlliçi: Balluk's message to Edi Rama, gang

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has commented on the arrest of businessman Ergys Agasi, describing it not as a success of law enforcement institutions, but as part of an internal clash between groups within the Socialist Party.

Invited to the afternoon edition of Syri TV, Këlliçi stated that Agas's arrest should be seen in the context of recent political developments and clashes within the majority.

According to him, the group led by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku is currently in the lead.

"I have considered it a clash of clans, a gang war within the SP, where at the moment the Balluk gang appears to be in the lead," declared Këlliçi.

The Democratic MP also made strong accusations against the State Police, claiming that Agasi had been in Albania for months, despite being wanted.

"Ergys Agasi has been on the run for eight months, the Democratic Party, various journalists in the country, various media, investigative portals, various information indicate that Ergys Agasi is in Albania and was moving on the Durrës-Elbasan axis," he said.

Këlliçi said that this was a calculated move to send a message to Rama, at a time when judicial pressure is increasing against Balluk.

"And the moment she manages to arrest the most loyal and closest person to the Prime Minister of Albania on her orders, on the day the Prime Minister of Albania leaves the country, that is, on a single day that he has not been in Albania, this shows that she has given a clear message that she cannot be done with him," said Këlliçi.
