Berisha's visit to the US, former ambassador: When you know you are right, never give up!

Diplomat and former ambassador Mal Berisha has reacted to the return of DP leader Sali Berisha to the United States of America, describing this moment as an event that, according to him, goes beyond political divisions.

In a Facebook status, Berisha sees the democratic leader's journey as the end of a difficult political period and as an example of resilience in the face of obstacles.

"When you know you are right, never give up," he writes, while describing Sali Berisha's return to the US as a "historic achievement" that, according to him, deserves respect even beyond political sympathies.

Dear friends!

Regardless of whether we are from the North or the South, Catholic or Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Bektashis or atheists, right, left or center, the historical achievement of a compatriot should arouse respect and admiration in us.

For some, joy and enthusiasm, while for those who don't, at least a moment of reflection.

When a man finds himself in the position that Dr. Sali Berisha found himself in, viciously attacked by political opponents, betrayed by the man he supported the most, abandoned by many of those who raised him and gave him opportunities they never imagined, attacked by the most powerful and corrupt lobbies in the world, presented as a man for whom his supporters 'should not eat grass' and, finally, sanctioned by the American administration, he can choose to withdraw or stay.

SALI BERISHA CHOOSE TO STAY!

HE RELIED ON A TITANIC STABILITY, ON ALBANIAN, MORAL AND MENLY UNCOMFORTABILITY, AS WELL AS ON THE BELIEF THAT HUMAN DIGNITY IS GREATER THAN ANY OBSTACLE THAT IS RAISED IN FRONT OF HIM.

Today, after all this struggle, he is preparing to travel to the United States of America, as part of the International Democratic Union delegation, to participate in one of the most important national activities of the American Republican Party.

This is a moment that transcends sympathies and political affiliations. It is proof of what an Albanian can achieve when they do not lose faith in their own rights.

The lesson we learn from this resistance is clear:

A STRONG, HONEST AND LOYAL ALBANIAN TO HIS NATIONAL, MORAL AND HUMAN PRINCIPLES SHOULD NEVER BE BROKEN, EVEN IN FRONT OF THE HIGHEST WALL OF OBSTACLES.

Even when life knocks him down, even when he is left alone, even when everything seems lost, he must rise up, continue on his path, and fight to the end for his rights.
