From his prison cell, Erion Veliaj continued to purge the Tirana Municipality administration.

Recently, the imprisoned mayor signed the dismissal of Deputy Mayor Blendi Sulaj.

A few days ago, Veliaj revoked the delegation of powers to Mayor Anuela Ristani. In the decision, Veliaj argued that Ristani had violated his orders.

A day earlier, Eldi Hoxha resigned from the position of Secretary General of the Municipality of Tirana. With Veliaj's signature, Alban Dokushi took his place.
