Argentina's number 10 shirt could have a new owner after the Lionel Messi era. If Lionel Scaloni remains in charge of the national team, the iconic number is expected to be entrusted to young talent Nico Paz.

According to reports from ESPN Argentina and journalist Federico Bueno, it has been discussed and decided within the staff of the Argentine national team that Paz will be Messi's successor for the "10" shirt, in the event that Scaloni renews his contract and stays in charge until 2030.

The 21-year-old, who currently plays for Como in Italy, has amassed 11 appearances for Argentina, wearing the number "18" jersey so far.
