The heat will continue to accompany the first days of September in Albania, with temperatures expected to remain at unusual levels for this time of year.

Weather forecaster Lajda Porja announced that until September 10, the country will continue to be affected by high temperatures, while in some areas the thermometer may rise to 36-37 degrees Celsius.

The highest values ​​are expected in Elbasan and Berat, where temperatures could reach 37 degrees. In Tirana, a maximum of around 36 degrees is predicted, while in Fier and Lushnje temperatures are expected to go up to 35 degrees.

"By the 10th, in two or three regions of Albania the thermometer will register 36-37 degrees. These are very high values, given that we have officially entered the autumn season ," she said.

The weather change is expected to be significant after September 10. According to the weather forecaster, a cold air mass originating from the polar regions will move towards the Balkans. For Albania, this situation could bring increased rainfall and a significant drop in temperatures, with temperatures expected to drop by about 10 degrees.
