Illegal construction in Saranda, 47-year-old arrested

A 47-year-old man has been arrested in flagrante delicto in Saranda, suspected of carrying out construction work on an unauthorized building in the beach area, in neighborhood no. 4.

The police announce that during field checks and verifications, near "Shqiponja" beach, a flattened area of ​​land covered with construction materials was found.

Investigations revealed that the area was being prepared for the construction of a building for profit. In this case, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Saranda Police Commissariat arrested citizen AR, 47 years old, resident of Tirana, in flagrante delicto.

Meanwhile, during the field intervention, the Police removed and seized 48 sun loungers and umbrellas, which were located in the beach area that was being managed without permission by the 47-year-old.

Measures have also been taken against the Area Policing Specialist (APS), citizen AN. He has been suspended from duty, while disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against him for serious violations, as he had not ascertained the illegality in the territory.
