Injuring a young man with a rubber bullet by the police, Rama finds the culprit

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the injury of 28-year-old Erjon Vishkulli, who was shot with a rubber bullet in the left eye during yesterday's protest in Tirana.

In a post on social media, Rama described the young man's injury as a wake-up call, but in his reaction he did not dwell on the specific circumstances of the attack or the possible responsibility of the police officers. Instead, he accused the media of using the occasion to further incite violence.

Rama even claims that there are people inciting violence in student protests and that some of them pay individuals to participate in such acts.

Rama's post on X:

Participation in violent protests is certainly dangerous for both the perpetrators and those around them, especially since it is now known worldwide that these protests are also the work of a maniacal thug with a history of arson and bloodshed. I feel very sorry when anyone gets physically injured, even a violent protester, but how can any possible injury be avoided if violence dictates the nature of a protest?!

This is a rhetorical question and the injury of the boy from Elbasan should be an alarm bell for everyone, but above all for the instigators of violence who propagate from corrupt television screens and from their social mirrors or, worse still, who pay for the meat of all kinds of individuals, from criminals, to unsuspecting boys to minors. After I have been personally involved since last night in ensuring the boy's treatment in the best hospital in Italy, as well as transport on a chartered medical plane, I say to all those who are furiously abusing his injured eye to incite further violence:

You are the darkness that closed that boy's eyes! You are the fingers and nails of the cursed hand that has haunted Albania since 1912, closing its eyes every time this country sees light! But this time you are lost, because the light of Albania is today where and where greater than the darkness and you are less and less, that is why you are violating, burning and destroying with the inconsolable hatred of that hand, but reminding Albanians better than ever who you are. And Albanians will not forgive you. Wait and see
