Erjon Vishkulli, the 28-year-old who was seriously injured in the eye by a rubber bullet during the student protest in Tirana, has arrived in Italy, where he is expected to undergo another surgical procedure.
The young man himself announced the news through a post on social media, announcing that he is at the "San Carlo" hospital in Rome, awaiting the next surgery.
"I have just arrived at the Rome hospital 'San Carlo', where I will be admitted for one of the next operations! May God perform miracles. ALBANIA OF ALBANIANS ," Vishkulli writes in his post.
The young man was injured in the eye during the protest held in Tirana, and after a surgical intervention at the Trauma Hospital, he was transported to Italy to receive more specialized medical treatment.
