Student challenges Rama: We will not leave without resignation and new elections

A student of the Faculty of Law, present at the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office wearing a T-shirt in solidarity with Erjon Vishkulli, has declared that the young people no longer accept dialogue with Prime Minister Edi Rama and that they will remain in the square until their demands are met.

In a statement to Syri TV, the student focused on the 28-year-old's serious injury from a rubber bullet during the protest the previous day, expressing solidarity with him and wishing him a speedy recovery.

He accused the State Police of using violence against young people and claimed that the use of rubber bullets in the upper body contradicts international conventions.

"And what happened yesterday shows that this government doesn't think about students at all, doesn't think about youth at all, because yesterday they were being violated against international conventions, because according to conventions it is not allowed to shoot with bullets in the upper part of the body.

"The state police are violating the youth, the youth who want to build this country. We do not give them any space for dialogue, because they have been in power for 13 years and now they remember after 13 years and say let's have a dialogue. 13 years are enough to solve the problems. We will not leave this square without resignations and new elections because it can no longer be sustained ," said the student.
