Analyst Genc Burimi sees Aleksandar Vučić's defeat in Serbia as a signal that could also affect political developments in Albania.

In an interview with News24, he stated that the protests against Edi Rama aim not only to remove the prime minister, but also to attract the attention of European chancelleries, which, according to him, may reconsider their support for the Albanian government.

The loss of Aleksandar Vučić's camp in Serbia has sparked discussions about the possibility that protests and civic mobilization could bring about change in other countries in the region. Analyst Burimi interprets this development as a "crack" for Edi Rama's government, arguing that the result in Serbia could give hope to Albanian citizens who oppose the government.

According to him, at some point, European chancelleries may conclude that continuing support for the Rama government has a higher cost than a political change.

"The protest in Albania aims not only at Edi Rama but also at bringing the European chancelleries out of their silence. At a certain point, they will calculate that perhaps keeping Rama in power is more costly than replacing him, or they will put Rama under an economic embargo, or they will tell Rama that you have a file in SPAK. Therefore, either accept the negotiation, that technical government, or you will leave with displeasure. This is what we are heading towards," he said.
