Rubber bullet endangers eye, Tirana Prosecution launches investigation into

The Tirana Prosecution Office has launched an investigation primarily into the injury of protester Erjon Vishkulli last Saturday on the boulevard near the Prime Minister's Office.

Vishkulli, 28 years old, was injured with a rubber bullet in the eye by police forces during the student protest, which saw violent clashes with the police, where once again the effective forces exceeded the use of force, committing acts of violence.

According to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, there was a disproportionate use of force by the police during the protests. Regarding the case of the injury of the 28-year-old, footage from the Bank of Albania's security cameras has been obtained and is being reviewed.

One of which was an injury that is now endangering one eye of the young man from Elbasan, who was sent to Italy for specialized intervention after spending several hours in the Trauma Hospital.
