The State Police has officially reacted after the student and youth protest held yesterday in Tirana, where it has announced the launch of investigations into the serious eye injury of 28-year-old Erjon Vishkulli, as well as the suspension from duty of an officer of the "Eagle" Special Force, denounced for exceeding his powers during the intervention.

According to the official announcement, the General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has ordered the Directorate of Professional Standards to immediately launch administrative investigations to clarify the circumstances in which the young man suffered the eye injury.

The Police Supervision Agency and the Prosecutor's Office have also launched investigations into the same incident, with the aim of fully documenting the event and determining responsibilities.

The "Eagles" player is suspended

In another case, reported yesterday evening, the Police announced the suspension from duty of Inspector AK, an officer of the "Eagle" Special Force.

According to the Police announcement, the officer appeared to be exceeding his powers and not respecting the principle of proportionality while performing his duties.
