Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed Kiev's support for the ceasefire aimed at energy targets announced by US President Donald Trump. He stressed that the implementation of this initiative also requires Russia's commitment.
Through a reaction on the social network X, Zelensky stated that Ukraine is in favor of a ceasefire, underlining the importance of Moscow accepting the same conditions.
The Ukrainian head of state announced that his country is waiting for more information from the American side on the terms of the agreement and how it will be implemented.
Zelensky also stressed that Kiev supports any step aimed at reducing tensions, protecting human lives, and creating conditions for ending the war.
According to him, the objective remains to achieve a lasting peace, while it remains to be seen whether Russia will join the initiative and how the ceasefire for energy infrastructure will be materialized.
