Protests escalate in several cities: Police officers, students are being raped,

The third day of protests by high school and university students has been accompanied by clashes with police, attacks on institutions and material damage in several cities across the country. In addition to the massive protest in Tirana, tensions have been reported in Korça, Durrës, Vlorë, Shkodër and Divjakë.

In Korça, young people have clashed violently with the police after the chief of the police station was assaulted. According to reports, the local police are dealing with the situation with a reduced number of officers, as most of them are engaged in Tirana. Meanwhile, high school students have damaged railings along the road and created barriers.

In Durrës, the situation has become tense after a police officer hit a young man. The latter's friends reacted by assaulting the officer. Protesters damaged the first floor of the Durrës Prosecutor's Office and vehicles outside the institution. The Head of the Prosecutor's Office has notified the Prosecutor General, while it remains unclear whether the investigative files were damaged.

In Vlora, tensions were initially noted near the “Ali Demi” high school, where students blocked the entrance to the school, while the students inside notified their parents. Concerned, the parents arrived at the school yard. According to reports, some of them held the protesters accountable for the situation, while the latter continued to call for a boycott of classes.

Afterwards, the protesters in Vlora moved towards the Municipality, where they threw eggs at the institution's building.

In Shkodra, the protest was accompanied by attacks on the headquarters of the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party, while in Divjaka, protesters continued the march and set fire to a wooden cabin.
