The harrowing images of protesting students lying on the ground, handcuffed and bloodied, published in the media, have brought a reaction from the State Police, which denies that they were filmed in the police station premises, but admits that the footage was recorded during the intervention of the officers.

According to the Police, the people shown in the video were at the first moment of being neutralized in flagrante delicto, in a state institution where, according to the official version, they were attempting to enter and attack Police officers.

However, the response does not provide further explanations about the circumstances shown in the video, where the young men appear handcuffed, lying on the ground and with blood stains.

"Regarding a video published on social networks, Tirana Police clarifies public opinion that:

"The people shown in the video published in the media are not in the escort rooms at the police station or in the security block rooms, but are at the first moment of being neutralized in flagrante delicto by the Police services, in one of the state institutions where they were attempting to enter and where they were attacking Police officers. Afterwards, they were escorted to the police station by the Police services ," the police response states.
