The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has dismissed the Chief Prosecutor of the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office, Blerim Isufaj.

In his place, the KPK has appointed Dren Paca as acting chief prosecutor, until the completion of legal procedures to fill the position.

The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the Prosecutorial Council, called to discuss Isufaj's work in leading the Special Prosecution Office.

After leaving the post of Chief Prosecutor, Isufaj will not leave the Special Prosecution Office. He will continue to exercise his duties as a prosecutor within this structure.

Meanwhile, Dren Paca will temporarily lead the Special Prosecution Office until the selection and appointment of a new Chief Prosecutor, in accordance with legal procedures.
