Shakira and Gerard Piqué are back in court, nearly four years after their split, to review the agreement that governs the former footballer's visits to their two sons, Milan and Sasha. The singer wants Piqué to be the one who travels to Miami, where the children live with their mother, during short vacations, in order to avoid frequent and long flights between the United States and Spain.

The court hearing took place on Tuesday, October 6, at the Ciutat de la Justícia in Barcelona. Shakira appeared accompanied by her lawyer, Carmen Varela, while Piqué arrived at the court with his legal representative, Ramón Tamborero.

At the center of the discussion was how the former Barcelona defender's visits to his two sons, who have been living in Miami since 2023, will be organized.

The singer's legal representatives have clarified that the request is not intended to reduce the time Milan and Sasha spend with their father. According to Shakira's proposal, during shorter vacations, Piqué should travel to Florida, instead of the children having to constantly face transatlantic trips.

According to her legal team, the change aims to protect the physical and emotional well-being of the two boys, as well as avoid the impact of long trips on their schooling and daily routine.

The parties reportedly tried to find an amicable solution before the case was sent to court, but failed to reach an agreement. The decision on the possible change in visitation conditions now rests with the judge.
