After tensions over Territorial, Rama gathers the SP group and the government

The Socialist Party will hold an expanded meeting of the parliamentary group and the government cabinet on Wednesday, October 14, following the tensions created during the approval of the new territorial map in the Assembly.

The meeting will be held at 12:30, at the Brigades Palace. The announcement was conveyed to the socialist deputies through a message, stating that the usual meeting of the parliamentary group, scheduled for Monday, October 12, will not take place.

The approval of the new territorial map was accompanied by debates and objections, while there were also reactions within the Socialist Party itself. In this context, the expanded meeting is expected to take place after the clash created around the reform.

The message to the deputies states: "Dear colleagues, I inform you that on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 12:30, we will hold an expanded meeting of the Parliamentary Group at the Brigades Palace. For this reason, on Monday, October 12, we will not hold the regular meeting of the Group."

So far, no details have been announced on the topics that will be discussed at the meeting between the Socialist parliamentary group and the government cabinet.
