"There's a bomb in Parliament," anonymous phone call alerts Greek

A bomb threat was registered this afternoon at the Greek Parliament, following an anonymous call to the institution's central number.

According to preliminary information, a man called the Parliament and stated that a bomb had been placed in the building and warned of an explosion. The caller did not specify a specific time or date for when the explosion would occur.

After receiving the threat, Greek authorities immediately took action. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (TEEM) arrived at the Parliament premises and began searching the building to verify whether the threat was real.

After completing the checks, the officers did not find any suspicious objects or explosive devices. Thus, the alarm was unfounded and the situation returned to normal.
