Rama's former minister with a critical message for the government: The

Former Socialist Minister Ermelinda Meksi has conveyed a critical message towards Edi Rama's government, at a time when the country is facing protests and demands for the prime minister's resignation. 

Meksi emphasizes that civic discontent cannot be ignored and that politics must face reality.

"No serious crisis is solved by denying the problem, ignoring discontent, or placing narrow interests above the interest of the country. Political courage is needed to face reality and find a way out that serves the country ," Meksi writes, underlining that stability is not ensured through silence, but by addressing the causes of civic anger.

One of the former minister's most direct messages is related to the demand for the Prime Minister's resignation. "The demand for the Prime Minister's resignation cannot be ignored nor become a cause for further clashes," she says.

The former minister calls on political leaders, MPs and civil society representatives to open a genuine process of consultation and dialogue, where the concerns of students are also heard.

"Albania is above every individual, position or party. No power is worth more than social peace, the dignity of citizens and the future of the country ," Meksi concludes.
