Police violence broke the leg of a 19-year-old, Taulant Balla is concerned about

Taulant Balla has come out in defense of the State Police after the violence against 19-year-old Ledion Balla, who suffered a severe leg fracture during the student protest in Tirana.

The young man was forcibly pulled away by several police officers, despite repeatedly insisting that he was not part of the protest. The force used caused the 19-year-old to suffer a fracture and fall unconscious, while footage of the incident sparked strong public reactions.

But, instead of focusing on the violence inflicted on the young man, the leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has chosen to emphasize that the case should not be used against the State Police institution.

Through a Facebook post, where he shared the visit of the Minister of Education, Klodiana Spahiu, to the Trauma Hospital, where Ledion Balla is being treated, the socialist writes: "Under no circumstances should this case be used against the State Police as an institution."
