Berisha calls for mobilization in the student protest: Leave everything and join

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has called on democrats and citizens to join the student protest in Tirana, describing the situation as a historic moment.

In a statement to the media, Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama and police leaders of the violence against the protesters. He claimed that some of them are in the hospital and need surgery.

The DP leader also mentioned the spread of protests and boycotts of classes in several universities and schools in the country. According to him, students at the University of Tirana responded to the police intervention with a general strike, while students in Elbasan, Vlora, Shkodër, Durrës and Korçë have also joined the movement.

Berisha accused the government of trying to limit the protest, citing the situation at the Ismail Qemali High School. He alleged that during the clashes, the police used severe violence against protesters, including one case where a person who fell to the ground had his leg broken.

Referring to the government's reaction to the situation, Berisha stated that Rama is trying to avoid political responsibility by demanding the dismissal of the Police leaders, while according to him, the responsibility for the orders that led to the intervention belongs to the Prime Minister.

In conclusion, the opposition leader declared that the Democratic Party will continue to support the student protest and called on democrats and citizens to abandon their commitments and come out to support the students.

"Leave everything and unite in these historic moments to strongly protect and support the students and their protest," was Berisha's call.
