EU congratulates Kosovo's new president: Our support remains unwavering

The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Dirk Schuebel, has reacted to the election of Justina Shiroka-Pula as head of state, conveying his congratulations on the new position.

Through a message, Schuebel expressed his expectation for a new period of political and institutional stability in Kosovo, while emphasizing his willingness to cooperate with the new president, the country's institutions and political actors.

According to him, the goal is for Kosovo to continue its rapprochement with the European Union.

"With the hope of restoring political and institutional stability, I look forward to working with President Shiroka Pula, Kosovo's institutions and the broad political spectrum to bring the country closer to the European Union ," the EU ambassador said.

Schuebel has also guaranteed that the European Union's support for Kosovo will remain unwavering.

Justina Shiroka-Pula was elected President of Kosovo in the early hours of October 7, after receiving 81 votes in the first round of voting in the Assembly. After the election, she also took the presidential oath.
